Amanda Jones

(Marie Antoinette) Amanda is thrilled to be taking up the role of Toinette once again with her dear friends Brie, Bob, Hugo, Jonathan and Sam. Her previous Off-Broadway work includes work at the Mint Theatre (Walking Down Broadway) and Jean Cocteau Repertory (Candida, The Maids, The Importance of Being Earnest, and Uncle Vanya, among others). Regionally, Amanda has worked with the Caldwell Theatre (Marie Antoinette: The Color of Flesh); Sierra Repertory (Picnic and Bell Book and Candle) and the Depot Theatre (Engaged and Arsenic and Old Lace). Her film and TV work includes several small roles on One Life To Live and numerous independent films, including her personal favorite, the horror film My Stuffed Animal is a Monster. Samantha Ives

(Elisabeth Louise Vigee Le Brun) Samantha has appeared in many indepedent films including "Typecasted," which won Best Short at the New York Indepedent Film Festival and went on to screen Out of Competition at Cannes, 2007. Recent roles: Elisa (Marie Antoinette: The Color of Flesh, 45th Street Theatre, 2007), Lady Macbeth (Macbeth), Carol (Oleanna) Ariel (u/s, The Tempest), and Irina (Three Sisters). TV: "The Chris Isaak Show," The Greg the Bunny Show," and "Guiding Light." She was also heard on Vermont Public Radio's Camel's Hump Children's Reading Series as a recurring narrator of award-winning children's books. Jonathan Kells Phillips

(Count Alexis de Ligne) Recent New York credits include: The Taming of the Shrew (Roundtable Ensemble / ATA); A Modest Adjustment by Dan Rebellato (US Premiere, Ohio Theater); Iraq.doc by Caryl Churchill (US Premiere, Ohio Theater); Matthew Hancock's Dracula, (DTNY/Urban Stages). Jonathan spent two years training at the Moscow Art Theater School (MXAT), also performing in Russian as a company member with the Moscow Art Theater for two repertory seasons. In New York, he has appeared at The Ohio Theater, The Flea Theater, Mabou Mines, DR2, ArcLight, Urban Stages, Metropolitan Playhouse, P.S.122 (among others), and regionally at the Williamstown Theater Festival. Film/T.V.: “All My Children,” “Law & Order: SVU,” numerous indie short films. He holds degrees in Russian from the University of Michigan and Harvard.

Hugo Salazar, Jr.

(Marie Antoinette: The Color of Flesh) originated the role of the Footman in the New York Premiere of Marie Antoinette: The Color of Flesh and he received wonderful reviews from ShowBusiness Weekly, NTTheatre.com, and OffOffOnline. Other theatre credits include Cacophany, Hugo's one-man show with the Monitron Theatre Company, Milton's Way and 3 Wishes with the Curan Repertory Company, R.I.P. and Blessed Unrest at the HB Playwrights Theatre, Charlie's Aunt as Brassett, and Desperate Hours as Dan Hillard. Hugo was recently seen as Sebastian/Ali/P.J. in The Vampire Lesbians of Sodom/Sleeping Beauty Coma which sold out at The Secret Theatre. Hugo is the winner of the Best Actor Award at the Strawberry One-Act Festival for his vampire role in The Pattern, which also won for Best Play. Film credits include "Superheroes" (Feature Film), Manhattan Diaries" (Japanese Feature), "Nero's Arena" (Independent Feature). "5,000" was nominated for Best Film at The Method Fest Film Festival in California. "Broken Hearts" screened at Spike Lee's Online Film Festival, The Los Angeles International Latino Film Festival, The Orlando Hispanic Film Festival, and the Los Angeles Boyle Heights Film Festival. Hugo's next project for release in Fall 2008 is an independent feature remake of the Ghostbusters franchise titled "Ghostbusters:Generation," Platinum Cinemas. Natalie Mosco

(A Brush with Georgia O’Keeffe - Playwright and Actress) Natalie Mosco has been a performer, writer, choreographer, director, and teacher on three continents. She played leading roles on Broadway, (The Magic Show), London’s West End, (Grand Hotel), Paris’ Boulevard, (Hair), throughout Australia and New Zealand (originating roles too numerous to mention). On Australian TV, she became a household name for her regular appearances in prime-time series, mini-series, and variety shows. A member of the Original Broadway Company of Hair. (recording), she toured the world re-choreographing productions of the piece in Toronto, Boston, Paris, Sydney, Melbourne and Auckland. Other noteworthy choreography includes a ’68-’88 juxtaposition called Haircut for Baz Luhrman (Moulin Rouge) at the Sydney Theatre Company and being series’ choreographer for the Australian Broadcasting Company’s satirical current affairs hit, The Money or the Gun. Recent performing work of which she is most proud include partnering Donald Saddler in Paper Mill Playhouse’s much-acclaimed revival of Follies (recording) and portraying the title role in her original play, A Brush with Georgia O’Keeffe here in New York. Other writing includes two separate productions each of her Harold Arlen tribute, Get Happy! and Gershwin, both in Australia. A founding member of Shakespeare Globe, Australia (where she performed Cleopatra in Antony & Cleopatra), she made her performing debut at The Metropolitan Opera House in operas and with The Royal Ballet. She has piloted a ‘plane, had her artwork featured in special exhibitions at MOMA and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and has just completed her Doctorate for the University of Western Sydney.

David Lloyd Walters

Virginia Roncetti

(A Brush With Georgia O'Keeffe) In her native Canada, Virginia's roles on Toronto and regional stages have included Jill in The Fox, Calphurnia in Julius Caesar, Vivien in Nurse Jane Goes To Hawaii, Hoyden in The Relapse, and Della in The Gift of the Magii. U.S. regional credits include Noises Off, Moon Over Buffalo, O The Days!, The Au Pair Man, A Murder is Announced, and The Foreigner. As a member of the WorkShop Theater Company she appeared in the original production of A Brush with Georgia O'Keeffe, The Trial of Klaus Barbie and On The Eve. Also Off-Off-Broadway: Elisa's Skin, Hyperactive, Ripping It Off, and Moo (American Premiere). Fringe of NY: Reservoir Bitches. TV: "Secrets of Forensic Science" for Discovery Channel. Independent Film: "Flower Shop," "Clean," and "The Search." Canadian and U.S. commercials. At the WorkShop Theater Company, in association with the Playwrights Guild of Canada, Virginia has co-produced two editions of Unknown Country as well as The MacIvor Readings, all serving up readings of plays by leading Canadian playwrights. She is a member of New Jersey Repertory Theatre. Virginia trained in Canada, England, and with Uta Hagen in New York. She is a proud member of AEA and CAEA.

Robert Kalfin†

(Director) Founder of New York's Chelsea Theatre Center (winner for its work of 5 Tony Awards, 4 Tony Nominations and 21 Obie Awards), Mr. Kalfin has directed over 150 productions and workshops in venues that include Broadway, Off-Broadway, major American regional theatres, internationally in Europe, the Middle East, and as far abroad as Siberia. The book Chelsea on the Edge details his contribution to the American Theater.

During the 2004-2005 theatre season he directed Willie B. Came Into the Sun for the Passage Theatre Company (Nominated for the American Critics Association Award); the Off-Broadway production of Outward Bound (Nominated for two Drama Desk Awards); and Othello for the Cornell Schwartz Performing Arts Center. In 2006 he staged a workshop of Lea Fridman's new play, w/Hole In The Heart; a production of Israel Zangwill's The Melting Pot Off-Broadway for the Metropolitan Playhouse; and the recent production of William Mastrosimone's A Stone Carver, starring Dan Lauria, for the Passage Theatre Company in New Jersey which opened to excellent reviews, and transferred for a commercial run Off-Broadway last summer.

Representative work includes directing such artists as Lucy Arnaz, Elizabeth Ashley, Theo Bikel, Joan Copeland, Charles Durning, Tovah Feldshuh, Jack Klugman, Dan Lauria, Christopher Lloyd, Ralph Macchio, Dina Merrill, Lou Diamond Phillips, Mercedes Ruehl, Meryl Streep and Loretta Swit in a variety of productions, readings and workshops in theatres throughout the country.

Mr. Kalfin's Broadway credits include Strider, Happy End (starring Meryl Streep and Christopher Lloyd), Yentl (starring Tovah Feldshuh), Truly Blessed (A Celebration of Mahalia Jackson), and as Chelsea Co-Producer of Harold Prince's production of Candide. Other productions include Rashomon and The Mistress of The Inn (starring Tovah Feldshuh) for the Roundabout Theatre Company, and the television production of The Prince of Homburg starring Frank Langella for PBS Great Performances "Theatre in America" series.

Internationally, he staged the London production of The Disputation; Strider for the Haifa Municipal Theatre and at the Habima Theatre in Israel; the Russian language premieres of The Skin of Our Teeth for the Krasne Fakel Theater in Novosibirsk, Siberia and Tennessee Williams' The Eccentricities of a Nightingale for the Sfera Theatre in Moscow; as well as an earlier English language Scandinavian tour of The Skin of Our Teeth starring E.G. Marshall and Sada Thompson.

Work in educational institutions include productions with students such as Cloud Nine at the Juilliard School Drama Division, The Miss Firecracker Contest at the University of Illinois, Brutality of Fact at the American Academy of Dramatic Art, Willie B. Came Into the Sun for the NYU hotInk Festival (Strasberg School), and Two Percent and Othello at Cornell University. Mr. Kalfin has also been a guest director/instructor for the NYU Music Theatre Division, the NYU Playwright's Horizon's Directing classes and the NYU Graduate Costume Design program. Earlier this season, he worked with students staging the NYU hotInk Festival presentation of the Moroccan playwright Ahmed Ghazali's play The Sheep and the Whale.

Mr. Kalfin has served as Artistic Director for the Chelsea Theatre Center, the Cinncinnati Playhouse-in-the-Park and the Pirate Playhouse on Sanibel Island. He holds an MFA degree from the Yale School of Drama, and has served on the Boards of both the Society of Stage Directors and Choreographers and Theater Communications Group.

Mitchell Sawyer

(Production Assistant) is currently in his third year as a double major in Directing and Art History at Pace University. He has recently worked as Bob's assistant on Charles Dickens' Hard Times at Pace University and staged readings of Women's Minyan at the JCC and Prisoner of the Crown at the Player's Club. Mitchell is also co-founder of Sounds Professional Films where he has produced, co-produced and directed seveeral independent films. Past directing credits include Ball, a one-act by Josiah DeAndrea, Harold Pinter's The Birthday Party with DJ Mendel and Bye, Bye Birdie, Cinderella and The Sound of Music back home in Maine.

Joel Gross

(Playwright) Joel's play Marie Antoinette: The Color of Flesh, directed by Bob Kalfin and produced by Briana Seferian, opened in New York in April 2007 at the 45th Street Theatre. The play was first presented at the New Jersey Repertory Theatre in Long Branch, NJ. It has also been produced at the Caldwell Theatre in Boca Raton, Florida, directed by Michael Hall, and will be opening this summer at the Red Stitch Actors Theatre in Melbourne, Australia. Other plays by Joel have been presented in workshop at the Williamstown Theater Festival, the Old Globe in San Diego, and the Actors Studio in New York.
Joel co-wrote the film "No Escape" and wrote the TV film "Blind Man's Bluff." He has worked on features for Universal, Fox, HBO and Sony. His film "Galahad," produced by Gale Ann Hurd and Peter Hoffman, and directed by Mikael Salomon, begins shooting in late summer 2008. His novels, including The Books of Rachel, have been selected by the Book of the Month Club and the Literary Guild. He is a member of PEN, the Dramatists Guild, the Writers Guild, the Authors Guild, and the Playwrights Unit of the Actors Studio.

Paul Hudson

(Lighting Design) Paul Hudson is thrilled to be working with Bob and the rest of the team on such an exciting project. He just lit King John for ASCNJ (also Hamlet and Twelfth Night). Other recent projects include: event lighting desing at BK:Sugar (including the Sun Ra Arkestra!); William Mastrosimone's A Stone Carver at the Soho Playhouse; Gaffer on the short film "The Dream" (working title), shot on the Mediterranean Coast of Spain; W.E.T.'s benefit with Anna Deveare Smith at the Daryl Roth 1; and Assistant Lighting Designer for Richard Winkler on Papermill Playhouse's A Wonderful Life and Cleveland Playhouse's Christmas Story. Upcoming projects include a return to Spain (Salamanca) with a remount of Synaesthetic's The Trial of K for an international theatre festival, and taking 6 Characters' Best Show Ever! to Orlando. Paul received his MFA in Design from NYU in '99, and has been working in theatre, dance, film and television ever since.

(Costume Design) New York credits include multiple productions for Irondale Ensemble Theatre, Hypothetical Theatre Company as well as designs for The Juilliard School, The New School, Gayfest, and The Mint Theatre Company.  Design highlights include Premieres of Marie Antoinette: The Color of Flesh (soon to be seen again in New York), Broadway Rhythm for the Macao International Music Festival, the national tour of Suessentennial, Suite Surrender, Marie Antoinette: The Color of Flesh, Pete and Keeley for the Caldwell Theatre, three seasons as Resident Designer at Chautauqua Theatre and The Long Season at Perseverance Theatre in Alaska.  Assistant Design work includes the national productions of White Christmas and An American in Paris as well as the Broadway productions of The Light in the Piazza, Little Women, Doubt, and Dracula.  He received his MFA from New York University's Department of Design for Stage and Film.

Merek Royce Press

(Sound Design) Merek has written music for theatre, film, video and computer multimedia. He serves as resident sound designer at the New Jersey Repertory Company, where he composed scores for the musical productions Immortal Interlude (NJ Rep 2001), Octet (NJ Rep 2000, Community Theatre League 2004) and Find Me A Voice (Ensemble Theatre of Cinncinnati 1997; NJ Rep 1999). Merek has also designed sound for over 100 New York area theatrical productions over the past ten years. As owner of MusicNYC, his freelance consulting business, he assists creative people and arts institutions with their musical and general computing needs. Merek is a member of BMI and makes his home in New York City and on the internet at musicnyc.com.

Margaret Pine

(Composer and Sound Design) created a musical of The Misanthrope with Richard Wilbur at the New York Shakespeare Festival where she also wrote an adaptation of Virginia Woolf's Orlando. She composed music and designed sound for Singer's Schlemiel the First and Ted Allen's Lies My Father Told Me at the JRT. For the Chekhov Theatre Ensemble: King Lear, Cyrano, Don Juan. For the Luna Stage: Queen of Thebes, Sandpilot, The Whipping Man. For Robert Kalfin: Shaw's Androcles and the Lion, What I Did for Love, Galileo and other work. She adapted, directed and wrote music for Tolstoy's The Kreutzer Sonata featuring Larry Pine at hte Merrimack Rep, the 92nd St Y and Luna Stage.

Gail Cooper Hecht

(Costume Design) has designed the costumes for more than 300 productions on Broadway and Off, National and International Tours, Regional Theaters, TV and Operas. Last season in NYC: Room Service (Soho Playhouse), Arrivals (Bank St.), Fugue (Cherry Lane), Yiddish Priates of Penzance (Folksbiene), A Stone Carver (Soho Playhouse), Morning Star (Pecadillo), The Screams of Kitty Genovese (MMTF). A graduate of Boston University's SFA&A, she has taught Costume Design at Marymount Manhattan College and is a member of the League of Professional Theatre Women and United Scenic Artists.

Cailín Heffernan

(Stage Movement) Cailín Heffernan and Bob Kalfin have a history of joyous collaborations. Previously, she contributed choreography as well as period movement, manners and morés to New Jersey Repertory's production of The Color of Flesh. Prior to that production with Bob, she contributed choregraphy and/or movement to Love in a Thirsty Land (Jewish Repertory), Billy Bishop Goes To War (Capital Repertory) and Yentl (the Folksbiene) all under the sure hand of Mr. Kalfin. Recently, Cailín directed Penguin Repertory's smash production of Stones in his Pockets and the highly successful Anna Christie for Boomerang Theatre Company. Additionally for Boomerang, she directed All For Love, Beyond The Horizon, The Substance of John, as well as First Kisses at the Lucille Lortel. For New Jersey Rep, she directed Tilt Angel, Welcome to Wacker, Negotiations, and Hearts of Gold (the last three were Theatre Brut offerings). Cailín is a member of SSDC and the League of Professional Theatre Women. She is the founding Artistic Director of Manhattan Dance-Theater (1984-2002), a theater and dance company that focused on developing works containing strong linear story telling elements. Some theatres worked at include: Capital Repertory, Penguin Repertory, Jewish Repertory, the Folksbiene, New Amsterdam, Lucille Lortel, Walnut Street Theatre, New Victory, New Jersey Repertory, Naked Angels, Ensemble Studio Theatre, The Duke Theatre, Village Theatre and Galveston Island Musicals.
